The Sonlie International Baking Center is the prime example of a modern world class training center. The Baking Center is inline with the company’s vision to provide the best possible service for its clients. The center located at the ground floor of the Sonlie Bldg.,includes a reception area, a library, lecture room and it is furnished with only the best equipment from Europe-, oven room and freeze room, refrigerated tables, upright chillers, blast freezer, spiral mixer, dough kneader, dough break, Hobart mixer, various imported ovens and others.
As an added benefit, Sonlie Customers are updated with regular seminars on modern baking procedures and techniques. The air-conditioned room is strategically designed to give the participants clients an environment most suitable for learning.
A multi-purpose storage room is located at the 3rd floor of the Sonlie Bldg.,. Walk-in clients are allowed to see samples of the company’s products.

Sonlie Warehouse is situated in a 6,500 sqm land in Apelo Cruz St., Pasay, the 5-storey structure includes three massive cold storages, its two storey level storage area can load more than 50,000 cartons, a hygienic repacking center, two freight elevators and an air conditioned store room.
The story begins in 1979, when Tecson Alonzo was convinced by a foreign associate to distribute SAF-Instant Yeast in the Philippines. The conditions then in the Philippine baking industry looked formidable for any new entrant. A single company monopolized the market, supplying dry yeast. And further, “instant” yeast was never heard of and seemed unnecessary. Nevertheless, Mr. Alonzo seized the challenge to penetrate the market with the first instant baking yeast in the country.
In 1981, Sonlie International, Incorporated was born.
As expected, Filipino bakers did not willingly accept this rock-hard, more expensive yeast from France. Most were satisfied with their old technique and were reluctant to switch from dry to instant yeast. But after educating the people and making them aware of the potentials of the product, the market began to embrace this new technology.
After years of working hand in hand within the baking industry, Mr. Alonzo saw the many demands of the market. Soon, the company began importing from Europe other complementary products such as bread improvers, cocoa powders, non-stick flexible moulds and trays, flavorings, mixes, and concentrates.
In an attempt to improve the baking industry of the Philippines, Mr. Alonzo decided to put up a Baking Center in 1991. Since then, the Sonlie International Baking Center has been introducing new procedures and techniques also offer seminar courses and the best possible service to its clients.
Today, after more than three decades in the baking and confectionary business, Sonlie International is considered the largest supplier of instant baking yeast in the Philippine market and carries only top quality baking ingredients. Is currently looking for:
- Will handle a wide range of premium bakery related ingredients.
- Must be highly skilled and experienced in a bakery-pastry production.
- With knowledge in artisan breads, pastries and other baked goods
- Must be required to develop recipes and applications which complement the use of the company’s products.
- Candidate must be a graduate of Culinary, Food Tech, HRM and other related courses
- Has the ability to teach and do product demonstrations
- Very good communication and customer relation skills
- At least 1 year work related experience in baking or any related industry
- Must be Honest, Hardworking and has the ability to deal with all types of people
Applicants must be willing to regularly travel in the Visayas Area particularly in Negros, Bacolod, Dumaguete, Siquijor, Aklan, Antique, Roxas, Ilo-ilo.
